Does moissanite weigh the same as diamond?

No. Moissanite is about 10% lighter than diamond for the same size. A 6.5mm round moissanite (1 carat diamond equivalent) actually weighs approximately 0.88 carats. This is why moissanite is properly sold by millimeter size or “diamond equivalent weight” rather than actual carat weight.
